JCEDF Workforce Programs:

JCEDF understands today’s workforce needs and is working with the experts-in-the field of workforce training and development – Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (MGCCC) – to continue providing necessary opportunities for new and existing companies in Jackson County. From customized training for Northrop Grumman’s Aerospace’s aviation electronics technicians to the state-of-the-art real-world instrumentation and controls lab for Southern Company and process technology curriculum specifically designed for Chevron Pascagoula, MGCCC has been collaborating successfully with many well-established national and international companies. The college has proven successful in designing a program of the highest quality for any new industry to help foster economic development on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

FABLAB Jackson County

FABLAB Jackson County, a partnership between Chevron and the Fab Foundation, is a technical platform for STEM education, workforce development, and business idea prototyping that allows students to explore the entire engineering design process in a real-world context. FABLAB provides tools that enable students to go from concept to drawing, models to prototype, and redesign to a final product. The FABLAB includes laser cutters, 3D printers, CNC routers, milling machines, and a computer lab outfitted with design software. The FABLAB, located in Vancleave, is a community resource and is available to local students, teachers, community members, and the public at large.
