SEATTLE — The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Munro (WMSL 755) was commissioned April 1 in Seattle. Coast Guard Commandant Adm. Paul Zukunft presided over the ceremony, accepting the sixth National Security Cutter into the fleet. NSCs are the flagships of the Coast Guard fleet. Munro will routinely conduct operations from South America to the Bering Sea. Munro was built by Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, Miss. (Source: Seapower, 04/03/17)
