Huntington Ingalls Industries Inc., which owns shipyards in Pascagoula and Gulfport, Miss., and Avondale, La., reported $91 million in fourth-quarter profits, up from $50 million in the same period of 2012. Adjusted profits were up nearly 26 percent, from $66 million to $83 million for the fourth quarter of 2013. The Newport News, Va.-based company also reported revenues of $1.94 billion during the quarter, up 6.3 percent from the year prior. Operating margin at the Ingalls Shipbuilding segment, which includes the Pascagoula and Avondale yards and a composite yard in Gulfport, rose to 8 percent, up from 5.3 percent in the same period of the year before.
