Final preparations have been made in Ocean Springs and Pascagoula as the two Jackson County cities prepare to play host to Cruisin’ the Coast for three days, beginning Thursday. Successful one-day Cruisin’ events in Gautier (Sunday) and Moss Point (Tuesday) are already in the books. But in Ocean Springs and Pascagoula, as many as 9,000 registered Cruisin’ vehicles are expected to come into Jackson County during those three days, bringing an estimated $6 million in economic impact with them — part of a coastwide impact of more than $26 million. Pascagoula’s popularity among Cruisers is growing, but Ocean Springs has been at the top of that list already for many years. Once again, the Cruisin’ footprint in the downtown area has been expanded to accommodate more Cruisers.(Source: gulflive, 10/08/19)
