PASCAGOULA, Miss. — VT Bollinger has laid the keel for the first of two liquefied natural gas-powered combination container roll-on/roll-off ships for Crowley Maritime Corp. A ceremony was held Wednesday at the Pascagoula shipyard. The keel laying marks the ceremonial beginning of the ship’s construction. The keel forms the backbone of a ship.
