Huntington Ingalls Industries Inc., which owns Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, reported $96 million in third-quarter profits, up nearly 40 percent from $69 million in the same period of 2013. The Newport News, Va.-based defense giant’s earnings per share for the quarter was $1.96 but, when adjusted, fell to $1.67.
