PASCAGOULA, Miss. — Stephen Russo has joined Phosphate Holdings Inc. and Mississippi Phosphates Corp. as chief executive officer. Russo will be based at the company’s new corporate headquarters in Pascagoula and will oversee all company operations. Russo replaces interim CEO James Sherbert, who will remain on the Board of Directors and assume the new title of executive chairman. Mississippi Phosphates makes sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid to produce diammonium phosphate, or DAP, fertilizer, and has 240 workers in Pascagoula. (Source: Mississippi Press, 08/20/14)
