An idea that began in Jackson County two years ago will come to life Wednesday and Thursday at Biloxi’s Mississippi Coast Convention Center when some 6,000 students from 27 south Mississippi schools explore career pathways. Pathways2Possibilities is a career expo for 8th grade students in private and public schools throughout the six lower counties. It’s patterned after Mobile County’s “World of Opportunity” expo, but based on the state’s 16 career pathways. P2P was sparked when a group from the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce’s education issue manager group visited Mobile’s program in 2011. (Source: Mississippi Press, 11/12/13)
