Governor Tate Reeves visiting South Mississippi to participate in the grand opening of the new Fairbanks Morse facility in Pascagoula. “I want to thank the entire Fairbanks Morse team for your commitment to Mississippi,” said Reeves. “Since I became governor, we have seen almost $5 billion in new capital investment, and we’ll see even more in the immediate future.” The new 26,000-square-foot space will provide increased support to U.S. Navy programs. It’s located in Jackson County Supervisor Ennit Morris’ district. His connection started years ago when he was employed by the company. He later retired there.

Eighty members of the “growing workforce” at Fairbanks Morse paraded into a standing ovation at Thursday’s grand opening of a multi-million-dollar facility to build propellers for the U.S. Navy. Called the Center of Excellence 2, the facility on Industrial Drive Road in Pascagoula is outfitted with the latest high-tech equipment to build nuclear submarine propellers and other equipment for the military.

Bollinger has begun construction of the US Navy oceanographic survey ship T-AGS 67. The keel-laying ceremony was held at the company’s facility in Pascagoula, Mississippi, led by US Navy Program Executive Officer Ships Rear Admiral Tom Anderson. The T-AGS 67 is the eighth Pathfinder-class multi-mission ship to serve the navy’s physical, geophysical, biological, and acoustic surveys.

OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WLOX) – Gulf Islands National Seashore has reopened as the first phase of the Davis Bayou Bicycle and Pedestrian Path project has been completed. “I think it’s beautiful,” said visitor Laura Parker. “The paved roads are really nice. Everything looks really updated.” The initial work started in January, resulting in several upgrades, including road repairs and resurfacing, new bike paths, as well as retaining walls and erosion control to combat impact from climate change.
