A new study by the Association for Unmanned Vehicles Systems International (AUVSI) finds that more than 70,000 new American jobs will be created in the first three years following integration of unmanned systems into the national airspace. For Mississippi, it will mean 832 jobs created and an economic impact of $162 million. Moss Point, Miss., is where Northrop Grumman does some of the work on Fire Scout and Global Hawk unmanned systems. Unmanned systems are also used in training at Camp Shelby near Hattiesburg and Stennis Space Center. (Source: GCAC, 03/13/13)
