Austal USA LLC, Mobile, Ala., is awarded an $8,171,202 firm-fixed-price modification to delivery order N69316-19-F-5202 against previously-awarded basic ordering agreement N00024-16-G-2218 to accomplish the post-shakedown availability and dry docking for USNS Burlington (T-EPF 10). This effort encompasses all of the manpower, support services, material, non-standard equipment and associated technical data and documentation required to prepare for and accomplish the USNS Burlington (T-EPF 10) post-shakedown availability and dry docking. The purpose of this task is to implement the 10-knot Sea State 5 bow modification on EPF 10. The modification includes all design and review efforts to satisfy American Bureau of Shipping requirements for High Speed Naval Craft classification, to include a new safe operating envelope for EPF 10 (increasing the safe operating envelope to allow for 10-knot speed at Sea State 5 in all headings). Work will be performed in Pascagoula, Miss., and is expected to be completed by February 2020. Fiscal 2013 shipbuilding and conversion (Navy) funding in the amount of $4,085,601 will be obligated at time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
