OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. – After two years of construction, the new Marine Education Center is almost ready to welcome students. The Gulf Coast Research Lab facility replaces the J.L. Scott Marine Education Center at Biloxi Point, which was wiped out during Hurricane Katrina. The first school group is scheduled to visit the Marine Education Center later this month.
