PASCAGOULA, Miss. – Huntington Ingalls Industries’ (HII) Ingalls Shipbuilding division christened the Legend-class Coast Guard’s National Security Cutter Midgett (WMSL 757) Dec. 9. It’s the eighth ship in this class built by the company, said Ingalls Shipbuilding President Brian Cuccias. Ingalls is the sole builder of Legend-class NSCs; and has delivered six to the CG. Midgett was successfully launched in November. Kimball (WMSL 756) is scheduled to be delivered to the Coast Guard in 2018. (Source: HII, 12/09/17)
