OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. — Although the final total is still unknown, officials believe this year’s Peter Anderson Arts & Crafts Festival broke last year’s attendance record of 151,000 over the two days of the event. A record 473 vendors were spread out across the festival grounds in downtown Ocean Springs and crowds swelled each of the two days of the event, now in its 39th year. An economic impact study compiled by Mississippi State University during last year’s festival numbered the crowd at 151,000 and found an economic impact of roughly $24 million.
