PASCAGOULA, Miss. – Ingalls Shipbuilding plans to hire more than 2,500 workers within the next 18 months. Ingalls Shipbuilding said hourly pay for the available positions ranges from $14 for more entry-level jobs to $24.70 for most first-class journeymen positions with electrical journeyman rates a bit higher. The shipbuilding is looking for welders, shipfitters, pipefitters and more.
