Ribbon cut on talent lab

PASCAGOULA, Miss. - The ribbon was cut Friday at Pascagoula High School on the school’s new talent development labs. The upgraded welding lab and machine shop were made possible through the school’s partnership with Ingalls Shipbuilding. The 3,150-square-foot welding lab and the 4,000-square-foot machine shop are simulations of what students will be doing in the industry with top of the line equipment. Students also will learn, in addition to trade skills, life skills like discipline, getting to work on time, ethics -- skills to better prepare them for their next step in life. Pascagoula High is one of three schools to partner with Ingalls, including Moss Point High. There are also plans to bring the talent development labs to Harrison County schools as well.
