Ingalls awards STEM grants

PASCAGOULA, Miss. - Ingalls Shipbuilding handed out grants totaling $100,000 to teachers at 31 schools along the Gulf Coast to further STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education. Some teachers received checks for a few hundred dollars, while others totaled in the thousands. Ingalls, which considers it an investment in the future, has awarded these grants for the past 11 years. During that time, more than $1 million has been donated by the company.
