Promenade work to begin

PASCAGOULA, Miss. — Work will begin work this week on Pascagoula’s beach promenade. The city council awarded the $789,000 contract to Sumerall Construction of Gulfport in December. The promenade, which will run south of Beach Boulevard from the Point to Beach Park, will be built in phases. The first phase includes a concrete promenade, pedestrian barriers and benches, pavers, decorative lighting assemblies, underground electrical work and more. (Source: Mississippi Press, 02/18/13)
