Mississippi Contract Procurement Office
The Mississippi Contract Procurement Technical Assistance Program is an integral element of the Mississippi Development Authority, the chief economic development agency for the State of Mississippi. The program office operates as a bureau (Procurement Technical Assistance Bureau) in the MDA Minority & Small Business Development Division. The MPTAP delivers its services through a statewide network of procurement technical assistance centers with regional centers strategically located in Biloxi, Columbus, Greenville, Meridian and Jackson. Private non-profit corporations (South Mississippi Contract Procurement Center, Inc.; Northeast Mississippi Contract Procurement Center, Inc.; and Delta Contract Procurement Center, Inc.) operate the centers in Biloxi, Greenville and Columbus respectively. The Meridian Community College hosts the East Central Contract Procurement Center in Meridian.
U.S. Small Business Administration
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) was created in 1953 as an independent agency of the federal government to aid, counsel, assist and protect the interests of small business concerns, to preserve free competitive enterprise and to maintain and strengthen the overall economy of our nation.
The SBA has numerous loan programs to assist in financing, such as the Basic 7(a) Loan Guaranty, Certified Development Company (CDC), a 504 Loan Program, and Microloan, a 7(m) Loan Program. See website for further details.

The Office of Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) provides management assistance to current and prospective small business owners. SBDCs offer one-stop assistance to individuals and small businesses by providing a wide variety of information and guidance in central and easily accessible branch locations.

Jackson County Chamber of Commerce
The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce is a private nonprofit corporation with more than 700 members. We serve in a key leadership position to influence the economic growth, prosperity, and overall well being of Jackson County and its four municipalities. By pooling resources of the business, professional and governmental communities, we help members make contacts, aid in relocating their business and personnel, and provide information about the quickest way to involve an enterprise on the inside of the local business scene.

Jackson County Small Business Incubator LLC
The Jackson County Small Business Incubator LLC (JCSBI), is a project of the Institute for Compatible Development LLC a 501 (c) (3), non-profit organization. The JCSBI is a resource for casual and in-depth counseling about business matters relevant for the small businessperson or prospective small business owner. Individual, confidential counseling is provided by credentialed professionals on topics, such as business plan development, business feasibility analysis, marketing, human resources management, accounting, financial management, and governmental compliance. Counseling services are provided at no charge to clients. In addition to counseling, the incubator provides training programs that serve the entrepreneurial community. The Incubator offers approximately 100 to 5400 square feet of premium professional office space in a beautiful restored facility that is conveniently located near major industry and readily accessible from Interstate 10. Tenants of the incubator enjoy subsidized rent that supports them during the early years of their business launch.
